Suzuki Fuel Drain

ABOUT

Putting Diesel in a Petrol Suzuki is a very common mistake to make. And its remedy hinges on a number of factors. Assuming you would like to know what you must do to fix it then continue reading.
Here are the main factors to take into account whenever making a decision whether to get a fuel drain:

  1. What level of Diesel have you put into the Suzuki, taking into account that the fuel tank capacity of the Suzuki Splash is normally about 45 litres?
    1. A tiny amount of Diesel, less than 2.25 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Splash will quite often not be a major problem. Experience has demonstrated to us that anything under 2.25 litres (which is about 5% of the whole fuel tank) is sometimes able to be completely diluted through completely filling the remainder of the tank with Petrol.
It is relatively uncommon to find a car experiencing issues with below 5% incorrect fuel contamination. Keep in mind that it is very infrequent - certainly not impossible to find. You will discover a few cars that will not stand any quantity of fuel contamination at all.
    2. Somewhere between 2.25 and 4.5 litres of Diesel in the Suzuki (5 to 10%) is a 50/50 situation. Our experience has demonstrated that as many drivers get away with this as all those who break down. When figuring out whether or not to risk it and just simply top it up bear in mind that it is exactly like gambling all of it on black - you've got a 50/50 possibility of it working out.
    3. Anything in excess of 4.5 litres of Diesel in a Petrol Splash ought to promptly be drained as your probability of driving with that level of contamination is certainly below one in fifty - really huge odds.
  2. Put Diesel in a Petrol Suzuki and drove it: Have you spotted any kind of performance concerns as a result of putting the incorrect fuel in your Splash? If that's the case, have it emptied regardless of the amount of Diesel or the contamination ratio. Continuing to drive running an automobile that is already beginning to suffer from the effects of wrong fuel contamination will probably just lead to even more damage affecting your fuel system.
  3. Would you like assurance?
Simply get it drained. Regardless of contamination ratio, there is always some degree of threat resulting from driving a Petrol motor on Petrol contaminated with the wrong fuel. Possible results of driving a car on the incorrect fuel include things like the motor not starting, running unevenly, lack of power, wearing of the high-pressure pump, damaged or blocked injectors, and the like. These are several of the commonest Diesel in Petrol symptoms, and in the event that you notice any of them then stop and get it removed right away.

Do not just have any jack-of-all-trades to try to drain your car. We are Suzuki specialists and possess the accreditation and knowledge needed to ensure that you get back on the road with no hassle or trouble.
